Coaching Ourselves

Eric Bell with Kristen Holmes

SEASON 2 | EPISODE 5

In an age of constant digital access and data, how can we use it to better ourselves? Kristen Holmes, WHOOP VP of Performance and NCAA Champion Coach, is interested in how technology can actually support human flourishing.

Kristen sat down with our host Eric Bell to talk about taking our abilities to the next level by focusing on six things: the circadian, the recovery, the training, and then the purpose, the efficacy and the control. She shares her journey to help create WHOOP a 24/7 physiological monitoring tool helping you understand your capacity to take on stress, plus why it’s important to create space for athletes to reflect on their purpose

After studying psychology and physiology, she pursued an athletic career with the US National Field Hockey team, and then moved to coach - but not just any coach. Kristen is one of the most successful coaches in Ivy League history, having won 12 league titles in 13 seasons and the first national championship ever for Princeton University and the Ivy League.
